Liverpool Hospital Operating Theatres is seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic and experienced scrub scout senior registered nurse who would like the opportunity to work as a Nursing Unit Manager (Level 2). The Nursing Unit Manager will provide guidance and support to their staff and specialty modules. This position relies on effective communication between all stakeholders of Perioperative Services and Liverpool Hospital executive. We are seeking candidates with the following:
- A strong background in nursing and extensive experience in trauma, orthopaedics, vascular, obstetric, plastics and facial maxillary specialties, this module will also be introducing renal transplants later in 2026.
- Have the ability on an ongoing basis to review and monitor module KPI’s and service delivery to ensure benchmarks are being met.
- Develop an understanding of operational processes and clinical outcomes which are an inherent responsibility of this position.
Are You the Right Fit?
You have senior nursing experience within the Operating Theatre. You are approachable and hold strong organisational skills and possess the following:
- Proven experience in a Perioperative setting.
- You will have the ability to work in close consultation with various stakeholders and in a team environment.
- Effective communication skills – verbal and non-verbal.
- Experience with surginet, eMR, PAS and Powerchart. Ability to work to deadlines and prioritise tasks.
- Act in accordance with the NSW Health Code of Conduct and have the ability to manage conflict.
