HNELHD - Staff Specialist in General Surgery - Armidale Rural Referral Hospital
- A primary medical degree registrable with AHPRA and Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (General Surgery) and/or overseas trained specialist pathways.
- Demonstrated current and senior level leadership experience in the field of General Surgery.
- Demonstrated ability to develop, implement and evaluate models of service delivery, coordinate services, allocate resources, negotiate with stakeholders and monitor service delivery to ensure that services are delivered in alignment with organisational goals.
- Demonstrate the capability to teach and train effectively at all levels of undergraduate and postgraduate education and where required lead the department through successful accreditation.
- Evidence of being a highly skilled communicator, including both oral and written skills, communicating with colleagues, management, patients, students, other health professionals and the public.
- Evidence of being a high-level collaborator, including the ability to network and operate within an interdisciplinary framework and to work with other stakeholders in a variety of settings.
- Evidence of being a leader, including ability to be flexible and cope with a changing health system, past leadership and management experience and previous safety and quality improvement activities.
- Demonstrated commitment to clinical governance with detailed knowledge of, and experience in governance and clinical risk management principles and practices to achieve goals of the organisation
