- Registered Medical Practitioner with recognised specialist qualifications such as Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of General Practitioners and/or other equivalent specialist recognition such as Forensic Medicine, Sexual Health, Obstetrics/Gynaecology or Women’s Health. (Applicants expecting to be awarded their fellowship within three months may be considered. If successful the applicant will not be subsequently eligible to commence their appointment until the relevant qualifications and requirements are formally completed.)
- Appropriate knowledge and clinical experience to practice as a Senior Medical Practitioner in child abuse and neglect, sexual assault or domestic violence.
- Demonstrated knowledge of quality improvement methodologies and experience in initiating and implementing changes to improve clinical service delivery and outcomes, models of care, evidence based practice and practice development.
- Demonstrated high level interpersonal skills, advanced communication skills and ability to work constructively and effectively in a multi-disciplinary team and with a wide range of stakeholders
- Demonstrated understanding of and ability to respond and advocate for patients from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders
- Demonstrated willingness and ability to lead and provide clinical supervision including the ability to provide education, vision and research would be viewed favourably.
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate and liaise with other disciplines and departments.
- Demonstrated commitment to Caring for the Coast vision, goals and strategies, with demonstrated behaviours which align with the NSW Health CORE values and CCLHD Values and behaviours charter, and how it applies to the Prevention and Response to Violence Abuse and Neglect Framework (NSW Health – PARVAN Framework)
