What you'll be doing
The role will be responsible for the development and implementation of ACI’s approach to the collection and use of outcome measures, both clinical and patient reported. The position will be responsible for leading the functions within the Clinical Information and Decision Support team (including but not limited to: the ACI Patient Reported Measures Program, developing and delivering the ACI Health Outcomes Strategy, and Decision Support).
Implementation of the NSW Patient Reported Measures Program is a strategic priority for the NSW Health System, and a major component of the state’s Leading Better Value Care (LBVC) Program. This role is the key leadership position for this implementation.
The creation of clinical quality registries with systems for collection and measurement of clinical process and outcomes is also a key deliverable for the LBVC program.
This role also manages ACIs strategic relationship with the International Consortium for Health Outcome Measurement (ICHOM) and other clinical registry organisations. It may also include the development of standard sets with ICHOM and other clinical professional bodies.
Introduction of clinical decision support tools and systems that utilise this outcome data in clinical practice and clinical review and improvement will become an important component of this role over time.

  1. Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and/or extensive clinical health experience. This includes expert knowledge of healthcare and demonstrated skills in conceptual and systemic thinking in developing and implementing innovative, practical solutions for complex, large-scale issues
  2. Proven ability to successfully lead, manage and support multidisciplinary teams within a large complex organisation
  3. Superior knowledge of health outcomes measurement, including patient reported outcome measurement and an understanding of clinical decision support processes
  4. Extensive experience in high level stakeholder management including experience working effectively using superior interpersonal and negotiation skills to build and sustain relationships with stakeholders on complex and novel projects
  5. Demonstrated ability to comprehend complex issues, distil information from diverse sources accurately and promptly and communicate this effectively, both written and verbally, with stakeholders
  6. Demonstrated ability to manage risks, balance competing priorities and deliver within expected timeframes
  7. Excellent analytical skills including the ability to analyse and interpret complex information from numerous sources, prepare and present reports, deal with challenges creatively and achieve business focused solutions.
