What you'll be doing
- Assistants in Nursing/Midwifery (AIN/M) provide support to the nursing team in an Aged Care environment as directed by the Registered Nurse/Midwife
- Provide direct care activities to residents/patients in accordance with the nursing care plan and under the supervision of a Registered Nurse/Midwife
- Assist Registered Nurse/Midwives and Enrolled Nurses with resident/patient care interventions as directed and within the scope of practice
- Contribute to collecting accurate health care information and maintaining accurate health care documentation as required in LeeCare
- Communicate effectively with resident/patient and other health care team members in accordance with appropriate protocol
- Certificate III in Health Services Assistance – Aged Care; or currently enrolled in 2nd or 3rd year of an undergraduate Bachelor of nursing program
- Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise work
- Demonstrated evidence of being able to provide a person centred approach to resident/patient care
- Demonstrated effective communication skills – written and verbal
- Previous experience working in an aged care setting
- Demonstrated evidence of complying with Immunisation category A
