What you’ll be doing

The primary purpose of the Senior Data Analyst is to assist leading the analytical and data management requirements for the Learning Health Unit (LHU) at the Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network (SCHN). The LHU is enabling capability for clinical analytics at SCHN, in the context of a learning health system program to make better use of clinical data for enhancing data quality and patient care.

The position has responsibility across reporting, analysis, assurance and management processes to improve eMR data quality, and standardisation of clinical data management, which includes successful completion of individual projects within the program.

The Senior Data Analyst ideally has at least 5 years of data analysis experience, preferably with proficiency in using electronic medical record data.

About You
We’re looking for someone who:

·          Has Extensive experience in SQL programming and designing ETL processes, as well as an advanced level of proficiency in data science tools such as Python, or R. Technical capability will be measured with interview questions and/or a request to perform a basic SQL transformation.

·          Demonstrates experience in delivering effective administration for complex relational databases, including through development and implementation of data dictionaries, common data models and standard operating procedures.
