About the role:
We are looking for an experienced Dental Assistant to join our fabulous Dental Team. The Dental Assistant helps dental Officers and oral health therapists to deliver save and effective oral health services by providing both clinical and administrative support.
MLHD are seeking Dental Assistance to fill the below vacancies:
Tumut – Temporary Part Time – up to 24 hours per week until 17 December 2026
Wagga Wagga – Permanent Full Time – 38 hours per week
As the Dental Assistant, you will be responsible for:
Providing a high level of dental assistance to oral health clinicians within prescribed standards and policies to deliver safe and competent care in line with public expectations
Adhering to a customer focussed service to ensure excellence in patient care
Performing administration duties to support the effective operation of the dental clinic

Our ideal candidate will demonstrate:
Experience in dental assisting and qualification in a field recognised by the Dental Assistant Education Council of Australia or equivalent, (or experience and preparedness to undertake Certificate III in Dental Assisting)
High level of competency in assisting with all oral health care procedures
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work as a part of a team
Hold a class C Drivers licence, as travel will be required for this role.
