The door is open for a strong Aboriginal leader – someone grounded in culture, connected to community, and ready to make a real difference for the Aboriginal community across the Central Coast.  This senior role is all about walking alongside community, shaping services that are culturally safe, and leading the way in better health outcomes for the 17,000 Aboriginal people of the Darkinjung Community.

This is an identified position, open only to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander applicants under Section 14(d) of the NSW Anti-Discrimination Act 1977. You will need to demonstrate your Aboriginality and respond to the selection criteria.

 

About the Role

As the District Director Aboriginal Health, you will be part of the Executive Leadership Team - working closely with our Chief Executive, Aboriginal Health Partnership Advisory Council and community leaders. You will:

Co-design and deliver health services that respect culture, community, and Country
Lead Aboriginal health programs that are practical, connected, and focused on closing the gap
Build strong partnerships with Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations, local services, and government agencies
Support and grow our Aboriginal workforce, keeping cultural safety and Aboriginal leadership at the heart of everything we do

Category B positions: Vaccination is recommended but not mandatory.
