- Holds or aspires to hold a minimum Certificate III qualification in Aboriginal Primary Health Care or a minimum Certificate III health qualification in the area of care in which the Aboriginal Health Worker works.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the health issues and key policies that impact on Aboriginal communities across Central Coast Local Health District.
- Demonstrated ability to liaise, proactively engage and work collaboratively with vulnerable communities and relevant agencies in ensuring culturally responsive services.
- Ability to learn and use a computer for relevant programs, including those for patient records and data reporting.
- Eligible to drive in NSW and the ability to travel as required.
- Demonstrated understanding of how the District is Caring for the Coast and how this role would contribute.
