- Completion of Certificate III in Nutrition and Dietetic Assistance or equivalent or Food science / Nutrition undergraduate student (following completion of year 2) or equivalent with relevant experience.
- Knowledge of food safety and sterilisation techniques and the use of food safety plans.
- Demonstrated ability to use intermediate computer applications and knowledge or experience with CBORD nutrition and food services computer systems.
- Effective written and interpersonal communication skills and the ability to interact effectively within the work unit.
- Capacity to prepare and distribute infant and enteral formula safely with minimal errors including the ability to calculate recipes from dietitian instructions.
- Excellent organisational skills, ability to problem solve and to be flexible and undertake a diverse range of tasks.
- Understanding of inventory and stores.
- Demonstrated commitment to maintain currency in educational requirements for the position, and participate in regular professional practice supervision and performance management processes as required to continuously improve the level of service provided to the client / patient.
