What you'll be doing
 
To provide effective medical services to Paediatric patients and their families under supervision, while developing expertise in Paediatric practice, in a complex clinical environment. The position would be well suited to a Senior Resident Medical Officer pursuing further general Paediatric training or General Practice training. 

 
  1. MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia
  2. At least two years working as a Medical Officer, completing a Paediatric rotation is preferable
  3. Demonstrated commitment to pursuing a career pathway involving paediatric medicine. This may include previous clinical paediatric experience, completion of or plan to undertake any courses in paediatric medical care.
  4. Ability to work independently within a supervised complex clinical environment.
  5. Demonstrated experience in taking comprehensive patient histories, performing clinical examinations and accurately documenting in patient records.
  6. Demonstrated ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to ensure the appropriate management of the patient.
  7. Ability to demonstrate accurate decision-making and to seek further advice in accordance with level of experience and showing an awareness of limitations.
  8. Proven ability to organise, plan and manage competing tasks
