What you'll be doing
The vision for South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD) is ‘exceptional people, healthier lives’. SESLHD is committed to enabling our community to be healthy and well, and to providing the best possible compassionate care when people need it.
To provide Child and Family Health Nursing services to families with children aged 0-5 years within the context of current policies and 'best practice'. Child and Family Health Nursing is a comprehensive service that promotes health and wellbeing of the child by working in partnership with families. This involves undertaking physical, emotional and psychological assessments to identify family vulnerabilities and strengths to enable early identification and interventions. The child and Family Health Nurse provides this service in clinics, central intake, the family acre cottages and in the home setting.
- 1. Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- 2. Specific post graduate qualifications in Child and Family Health Nursing or working towards
- 3. Demonstrated ability to work within a team
- 4. Demonstrated excellent communication skills
- 5. Ability to work in partnership with families during home visits or in clinic setting within a primary health care model
- 6. Demonstrated understanding of breastfeeding and lactation
- 7. Unrestricted Class 1A NSW drivers licence
