What you'll be doing
Provide and co-ordinate appropriate occupational therapy services for inpatients, outpatients and community clients as referred in a manner consistent with professional code of ethics and current Mid North Coast Local Health District policies and procedures. Contribute to service development by identifying, leading and evaluating quality improvement projects and providing professional oversight to junior staff.
About You
You hold a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy, or equivalent qualifications recognised for registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia.
You bring significant expertise in the planning, implementation and evaluation of occupational therapy services, demonstrating a strong commitment to high‑quality, client‑centred care.
You apply advanced clinical reasoning and exercise sound professional judgement, drawing on evidence‑based practice to manage complex and challenging clinical situations.
You demonstrate highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to consult effectively, negotiate with confidence and resolve conflict in a professional and constructive manner.
You work autonomously with minimal direct supervision while also contributing effectively as a valued member of a multidisciplinary team.
You are skilled in planning and coordinating client care, prioritising duties, organising work plans for yourself and your team, and delegating appropriate tasks to therapists and therapy aides.
You have the capacity to provide supervision, guidance and leadership to occupational therapy staff, supporting professional growth and service excellence.
You hold a current NSW driver’s licence and are able to travel as required for service delivery.
