An exciting new opportunity exists for clinical leadership! Royal North Shore Hospital is seeking an experienced and motivated Nursing Unit Manager to lead the Nursing team within the Medical Imaging Department. 

This role provides leadership across diagnostic imaging and interventional radiology, supporting a high-performing multidisciplinary team in a busy tertiary service.

The Nursing Unit Manager, working closely with the Nurse Manager, provides strategic, operational and clinical leadership to the nursing team, oversees patient flow and procedural support across imaging modalities, and ensures clinical standards and patient safety are maintained.

The position plays a key role in coordinating patient navigation through Medical Imaging, ensuring appropriate preparation, monitoring and post-procedure care for patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional procedures.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

  1. Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  2. Previous experience with clinical leadership or management, with demonstrated ability to lead, manage and support a clinical team.
  3. Demonstrated relevant clinical nursing experience within the specialty of Medical Imaging, with an understanding of the complexities of Medical Imaging Service Delivery.
  4. Demonstrated advanced interpersonal and communication skills including problem solving, balancing competing demands and conflict resolution.
  5. Proven ability to create and maintain a positive workplace culture and articulate and achieve a vision for nursing services.
