What you'll be doing
The Digital Communications Officer will assist in leading the CEC’s digital communications outputs, including but not limited to internal and external digital platforms; graphic design of collateral and publications; and video and infographic production and dissemination. These outputs will be managed in line with best-practice and requires an innovative contemporary approach to lift and align digital communications with the CEC's strategic direction and communications strategies. The Digital Communications Officer will work independently in consultation with internal and external stakeholders, and with a superior attention to detail.
- Tertiary qualifications in communications, marketing or similar/related field, or equivalent significant experience in a closely related discipline.
- Demonstrated high-level experience in digital production including the design, development and dissemination of online platforms, infographics, videos and collateral.
- An understanding of emerging technology and contemporary approaches to web development and content management systems and their practical application including user-centred design, information architecture, analytics and writing for the web.
- Strong written communication skills, with experience in writing and preparing materials for a range of online communication channels, including websites and social media.
- Strong verbal and interpersonal skills and an ability to relate to and engage with colleagues and stakeholders to provide technical guidance, training and support to staff.
- Demonstrated experience in online communication and/or digital marketing, including effectively using digital and online tools as part of communication and marketing strategies, analysis and reporting.
- Extensive web development skills and experience using content management systems, preferably Squiz Matrix or similar.
