What you'll be doing
Provide individualised excellent patient care within a health service environment to maximise the health outcomes for the patient, under the guidance and direction of the Registered Nurse.
- Certificate III Assistant in Nursing or currently enrolled in an undergraduate Registered Nursing degree (completion of first year and first semester or trimester of second year), or currently enrolled in a TAFE NSW Diplomas of Nursing (completion of identified foundational units in practice AND 120 hours of clinical placement).
- Demonstrated ability to apply sensitivity and interpersonal skills when interacting with patient/client to ensure patient needs are understood and met.
- Demonstrated listening and questioning skills with capacity to identify and act on patient needs and expectations.
- Demonstrated ability to act quickly and decisively in crisis situations.
- Demonstrated capacity to work cooperatively within a team environment and value different perspectives.
- Demonstrated ability to manage conflict situations in a calm and professional manner.
