What you'll be doing
To provide comprehensive assessment and management with a multidisciplinary Aged Care team to ensure the provision of optimal and timely care to chronic and complex older patients. The Advanced Trainee will be rotating in Acute Geriatric Medicine, Sub-Acute Geriatric Medicine, Geriatric Rehabilitation, Psychogeriatric Medicine the Community and Perioperative Care Orthogeriatrics, Care of Older patients in Surgery (COPS) and Preoperative Exercise and Prehabilitation Program (PrEPP) - Geriatrics Assessment. The population group would be patients over the age of 70 or over 50 years for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander with chronic and complex issues. 
  1. Qualifications and experience commensurate with the Essential Requirements for the role.
  2. Demonstrated ability to work independently within a supervised complex clinical environment utilising excellent clinical skills, judgment and expertise.
  3. Advanced verbal, written and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to vary communication style in line with the understanding of the needs of diverse audiences.
  4. Demonstrated ability to prioritise workloads and display a flexible approach to meet changing situations in a demanding and unpredictable clinical environment.
  5. Demonstrated commitment to continuing professional development and self-education.
  6. Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement, patient safety and risk management.
